Terms & Conditions

These Terms And Conditions set out the terms that apply when you use this website, enquire about our services, purchase a service, book a Website in a Day or Website in Two Days project, or work with Jupiter Jones Design Ltd.

By using this website or purchasing our services, you agree to these Terms And Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website or purchase our services.

Jupiter Jones Design Ltd is a web design studio based in Birmingham, UK. You can contact us at hello@jupiterjones.design.

1) General Overview

Jupiter Jones Design Ltd provides website design, template customisation, Framer website builds, and related digital services for service-based businesses.

Our main services include Website in a Day, Website in Two Days, template-led website design, Framer website customisation, and related design support. The details of each service, including pricing, deliverables, timelines, and inclusions, will be shown on the relevant service page, proposal, invoice, or written agreement.

We may update our services, pricing, packages, inclusions, and availability from time to time. Any changes will not affect a project that has already been booked and confirmed unless we both agree otherwise in writing.

2) Website Use

You may use this website for personal, business, and informational purposes. You agree not to use this website in a way that is unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or intended to damage the website, interrupt its performance, or access areas you are not authorised to access.

We make reasonable efforts to keep this website accurate, available, and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it will always be free from errors, interruptions, or technical issues.

3) Service Bookings

A project is only confirmed once the required payment, deposit, or booking fee has been received and we have confirmed your booking in writing.

For Website in a Day and Website in Two Days projects, your design day or build day will be scheduled in advance. You are responsible for making sure that all required content, images, information, access details, and prep materials are submitted by the agreed deadline before your scheduled project date.

If you do not provide the required materials on time, we may need to reschedule your project, reduce what can be completed during the scheduled time, or charge an additional fee for extra work or delays.

4) Website In A Day And Website In Two Days

Website in a Day and Website in Two Days are focused, template-led website design services. These services are designed to help clients launch a polished website quickly by starting from a strategic template rather than a blank page.

The final website will be customised around your chosen template, business details, content, images, colours, brand direction, and agreed requirements. These services are not fully custom website builds unless we specifically agree otherwise in writing.

Website in a Day is usually completed during one focused design day, provided that all required materials are submitted on time and the project stays within the agreed scope.

Website in Two Days allows more time for additional pages, content, layout refinement, or more detailed setup, depending on the agreed package.

5) Client Responsibilities

To complete your project properly and on time, you agree to provide everything reasonably needed for the project. This may include your copy, images, brand assets, logo files, website login details, domain access, Framer account access, booking links, social links, service information, testimonials, legal page content, and any other required materials.

You are responsible for making sure that any content, images, logos, fonts, copy, brand assets, or other materials you provide are accurate, lawful, and either owned by you or properly licensed for use.

You are also responsible for reviewing your website carefully and telling us about any errors, missing information, or requested changes within the agreed review period.

6) Content And Copy

Unless copywriting is specifically included in your package or agreed separately, you are responsible for providing the written content for your website.

We may make light edits to improve flow, clarity, formatting, grammar, or presentation, but this does not include full copywriting, brand messaging, legal writing, or detailed content strategy unless agreed in writing.

You are responsible for checking that all website copy is accurate, legally compliant, and appropriate for your business.

7) Templates And Customisation

Our templates are designed to provide a strategic starting point for your website. They may include page layouts, sections, visual structure, placeholder text, imagery, interactions, and design patterns.

Template customisation may include adapting colours, fonts, images, copy, sections, layout order, page content, calls-to-action, and other agreed details. It does not include creating a fully bespoke design from scratch unless this has been agreed as part of a separate custom service.

We reserve the right to reuse design systems, layouts, structures, sections, and templates across different projects, provided that your personal content, confidential information, and brand-specific assets are not reused without permission.

8) Revisions And Feedback

Your package may include a specific review period or revision window. The details will be stated on the relevant service page, proposal, invoice, or written agreement.

Feedback must be clear, consolidated, and submitted within the agreed timeframe. If feedback is delayed, unclear, incomplete, or provided in multiple separate rounds, this may delay the project or result in additional charges.

Revision requests must stay within the original project scope. Additional pages, new sections, major layout changes, extra functionality, copywriting, branding, or work not included in the original package may be charged separately.

9) Timelines And Delays

We will make reasonable efforts to complete your project within the agreed timeline. However, timelines depend on you providing the required materials, feedback, approvals, and access details on time.

We are not responsible for delays caused by missing content, late feedback, unavailable logins, third-party issues, platform outages, payment delays, or changes requested outside the original scope.

If a project is delayed for a long period because we are waiting for you, we may pause the project and charge a restart fee before work continues.

10) Payments

All prices are listed in GBP unless stated otherwise.

Payment terms will be shown on the relevant service page, proposal, invoice, checkout page, or written agreement. Depending on the service, payment may be required in full upfront, through instalments, or through a deposit and final balance.

Work may not begin until the required payment has been received. Final files, launch support, website transfer, or handover may be withheld until all outstanding payments have been made.

Late payments may delay your project or result in access to services being paused.

11) Cancellations, Rescheduling And Refunds

If you need to cancel or reschedule your project, you must contact us as soon as possible at hello@jupiterjones.design.

Because Website in a Day and Website in Two Days projects involve reserved design time, planning, preparation, and limited availability, booking fees, deposits, or payments may be non-refundable once your project has been confirmed, unless otherwise required by law.

If you reschedule with enough notice, we may offer a new date depending on availability. If you cancel close to your scheduled design day, fail to attend, or do not provide required materials on time, we may treat the booking as cancelled or charge a rescheduling fee.

Where you are legally entitled to cancel, we will honour your statutory rights. If you ask us to begin work during any cancellation period, you may be required to pay for the work completed up to the point of cancellation. GOV.UK explains that online customers may have cancellation rights, and cancellation information must be given clearly before purchase.

12) Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you are purchasing as a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel certain online service contracts within 14 days. However, if you ask us to start work before the end of that cancellation period, you acknowledge that you may need to pay for work completed before cancellation.

If a service has been fully performed with your agreement before the cancellation period ends, you may lose the right to cancel that service.

If you are purchasing as a business, cancellation rights may differ and will usually be governed by these Terms And Conditions and any written agreement between us.

13) Additional Work And Out-Of-Scope Requests

Any work not included in your agreed package may be quoted and charged separately.

Additional work may include extra pages, additional revisions, new sections, advanced animations, copywriting, brand identity design, logo design, email marketing setup, advanced SEO, e-commerce functionality, membership areas, third-party platform setup, complex integrations, custom code, ongoing maintenance, or post-launch changes beyond the agreed support period.

We will let you know where a request is outside scope before carrying out the additional work.

14) Website Launch And Handover

Once your website is approved and any final payment has been received, we will prepare the website for launch or handover according to the agreed package.

You are responsible for maintaining your own domain, hosting account, Framer plan, third-party subscriptions, email accounts, booking tools, payment processors, and any other external platforms connected to your website.

After handover, you are responsible for maintaining your website unless you have purchased an ongoing support or maintenance service.

15) Framer And Third-Party Platforms

Websites are usually built in Framer unless agreed otherwise.

Framer, domain registrars, form tools, booking systems, payment processors, email platforms, analytics tools, and other third-party services are separate providers. We are not responsible for their pricing, downtime, technical issues, policy changes, account restrictions, security incidents, or service availability.

You are responsible for reviewing and accepting the terms and privacy policies of any third-party platforms used for your website or business operations.

16) Browser And Device Compatibility

We aim to create websites that work well across modern browsers and key screen sizes. However, we cannot guarantee that a website will look or function identically on every browser, device, operating system, screen size, or future software version.

Unless agreed separately, we do not support outdated browsers, unsupported devices, or legacy operating systems.

17) Search Engine Optimisation

Our services may include basic SEO setup, such as page titles, meta descriptions, clean page structure, image alt text guidance, and other foundational settings.

We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings, traffic levels, enquiries, sales, or business results. Search performance depends on many factors outside our control, including competition, content quality, website authority, market demand, search engine changes, and ongoing SEO activity.

18) Client Results

We aim to create websites that are polished, strategic, and designed to support your business goals. However, we cannot guarantee that your website will produce specific results, including enquiries, bookings, sales, followers, search rankings, revenue, or business growth.

You are responsible for your own marketing, offers, pricing, sales process, customer service, and business decisions.

19) Portfolio And Promotion

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, you allow us to display completed work in our portfolio, website, social media, marketing materials, case studies, and promotional content.

We may include your business name, website link, screenshots, project visuals, and a brief description of the work completed.

If your project is confidential or you do not want us to share it publicly, you must tell us in writing before the project begins.

20) Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the content, images, logos, trademarks, and brand assets you provide to us, provided that you own or have the right to use them.

We retain ownership of our pre-existing templates, design systems, layouts, processes, methods, documents, resources, concepts, and any intellectual property created before or outside your specific project.

Once full payment has been received, you will receive the agreed rights to use the final website design for your own business. You may not resell, redistribute, copy, license, or commercially exploit our templates, layouts, design systems, or resources as standalone products.

21) Stock Images, Fonts And Licences

If we use stock images, fonts, icons, plugins, or third-party assets in your project, these may be subject to separate licence terms.

We will use reasonable care when selecting assets, but you are responsible for ensuring that any third-party assets used on your website remain properly licensed after launch, especially if you change, replace, or add content later.

You must not provide us with images, fonts, copy, logos, or materials that you do not have the right to use.

22) Legal Pages And Compliance

We may provide template-style website pages or placeholder sections for legal pages such as Privacy Policy, Terms And Conditions, Cookie Policy, or similar pages. These are not legal advice.

You are responsible for ensuring that your website, legal pages, policies, cookie notices, accessibility, industry-specific claims, advertising, and compliance requirements are suitable for your business and meet applicable laws or regulations.

You should seek professional legal advice where needed.

23) Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential information private and not disclose it to third parties unless required to complete the project, operate the service, comply with the law, or with the other party’s permission.

Confidential information does not include information that is already public, independently developed, lawfully received from another source, or required to be disclosed by law.

24) Limitation Of Liability

Nothing in these Terms And Conditions limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, loss of goodwill, loss of opportunity, or reputational damage.

Our total liability for any claim relating to a project or service will be limited to the amount you paid to us for that specific project or service, unless the law requires otherwise.

Terms that try to remove responsibility for things like death, injury, faulty goods, or goods and services not being as described may be unenforceable under UK consumer law.

25) Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations where this is caused by events outside our reasonable control.

This may include illness, emergencies, power outages, internet failures, platform outages, cyber incidents, strikes, natural disasters, government restrictions, war, civil unrest, or other events beyond our control.

26) Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms And Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business operations, legal requirements, or website.

The latest version will be available on this page. The terms that apply to your project will usually be the version in place when your booking was confirmed, unless we both agree otherwise in writing.

27) Governing Law

These Terms And Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
